Flatmates update progress report pt1
Like with the 3.0 update, I will start doing progress reports until its release. I call this pt1 but I am hopeful that it will be released before there is a need for pt2. But things don't always go as intended.
Introducing Robin.
She is a tomboy who has always lived a poverty stricken rough and tumble life. She is new to Blaston like Sammy so the two quickly connect. While living in Blaston and hanging out with Sammy though, she starts to discover more about herself now she is living in a town of depravity and not in the caravan sites of her previous life. Sammy becomes a bad influence on her... Or maybe she is a bad influence on Sammy? Hmm, probably both on each other.
On the sunny days she will hang out on the beach playing volleyball while on the gloomy days she will hang with Sammy and the soccer boys. There are also plans to have one extra addition to the soccer boys to even out the boy girl ratio but I will keep that quiet for now.
Expanding Emile
Finally Emile gets some more story of her own and we get to know her better. In the early game, Her and Sammy will head out to major locations in Blaston where she will show Sammy around. This will have major differences if you picked male start as Emile will also talk about how things work in town for girls.
Story spoilers -- This requires some tricky writing as Emile wants to be the sister Sammy remembers. But Sammy doesn't remember much and Emile has spent half a year in Blaston living the same type of life Sammy will. So you might consider Emile a fully corrupted, future version of Sammy. There will be hints of this in conversation and some scenes. But I am trying to make it so that new players will miss what is going on while returning players who have met Emile post Haven will pick up on it.
Interesting things can happen while hanging with Emile. But since the male/female branches are totally different, I wont talk much about them and let you discover yourself. But there are also others who are more than willing to help Sammy discover things about her new body.
Other flatmates.
These have already been drawn and planned, but events for them are limited for now. We have Oskar the landlord, Jason and Charlie. For now I will leave you with a pic of them but keep quite on their stories until they are more developed.

Can we get full romantic with Robin like with Jaylee? If it is, that's gonna be awesome.
Please rework the origins in this update too. They need rebalancing.
Will you need to start a new game to get the full story? Or can you pick up in the middle of a save?
I have the same question. Do we need to start a new game after the new update with the flatmates?
The saves will be compatible, but because of the nature of the events/stories, they are best played from a new game. But still possible to pick up midway but characters will act as if they met you on the first days of the game.

I feel like The Fixer alongside another game are an incredible example of how a NSFW game can be made not only for the NSFW parts, where gameplay and atmosphere/story are also well implement which makes a game quite engaging. Keep it up!

Hey, incredibly sorry for the late response, I don't go on Itch.IO that often and kinda ignored the email cause was at work.
The only one in my experience that tries and succeeds in doing story + intimacy as well as the Fixer is Third Crisis, kinda of TBS (turn based strategy) less than a visual novel esque game. And is less story focused RN, more into world-building but the quality is there. There's also the Star Channel 34 by akabur, that has a really nice plot-line for a sex simulation game. I'm always interested if there are any similar games that are NSFW, so if you have any, i'd love to hear it.
No worries and thanks I'll check them out. I'm kinda black and white about games (I like it or I don't) so I'm kinda bad at being able to recommend. A few games I like are Eternium by Carbidis, Ripples by Jestur, and Tales from the Unending Void by Perverteer.

If you're still interested, I would recommend The Last Sovereign. Just like in The Fixer, your choices have a great impact the story. The game is an rpg made in RPGMaker, the story is fun, full of good humor, action, and even some drama and suspense. If my horny ass was drawn in by the nsfw tag, in the end i stayed for the story, sex jokes and the well written nsfw.
Another two interesting games are School game (VN focused on school life, male mc, with both randomised auto-generated npcs and story npcs) (waring, very buggy and early access) and Strive for Power (fantasy setting slave/mansion management made in godot, in which you(with the character you create) use your wit, money, skills and slaves to rise in the echelons of society) (warning, kinda grindy)

How do I get tattoos I already have the tramp stamp from haven after the slave ending
Will pregnancy be expanded on because right now it feels kinda empty and more cons than pros with how much it locks you out of things
Why can dianelle join dance and the sweet girls while pregnant but we can't (id recommend just making it so that we chose what we want to do on certain days if possible) also when dianelle Is pregnant while doing activities with the sweet girls her clothes clip through her belly
Is haven the last mission so far
Also Cassie's friend has gone missing but is still alive (I check every know and then and it says she's pregnant)
Is the "broken" perk not working right now because I keep getting events in school that say "broken (1-3) event"
Also while in class I get a random event that says "placeholder event for when Cassie's friend goes missing" is this incomplete?
Also the pub feels rather bland will there be more expansion to it, I'd recommend making it so that we can chat with our colleagues and also have more "open sex" as we get confident which evolves as the pub grows

Tattoos are only story based for now. Later I will add a shop.
Pregnancy is meant to have pros and cons, but not feel like a punishment. So yes, places where content is lost will be reconsidered.
Sweet girls pregnancy thing is because it's incomplete. Will be updated soon to properly reflect things like this.
Haven is the last institute mission currently
Cass/Mira will play a role in a currently under development quest. I have laid the groundwork but not completed it yet.
Broken events in the school are temp for now.
Like above, the Cass/Mira stuff is still under development.
Pub will keep getting content additions as development progresses. I want fewer, content rich jobs as opposed to many shallow jobs.
I've always been of the mind that a combination of good/balanced gameplay and interesting story/world-building makes the sum larger than its parts. It's great that you do not intend to sacrifice one at the expense of the other.
